The service is supplemented by the barometer of the mood in the tourism sector, which maps the business expectations in the tourism sector each day.
“At this time, Germany’s needs transparency and rapid access to relevant information from Germany and around the world,” says . The new information service is an important addition to the media services which are also available via the Corona Navigator.
The necessary relevance check and in-house classification of news items is being undertaken by the Federal Government Centre of Excellence for Tourism until further notice. “Never has the aggregation and dissemination of information and expertise within the tourism industry been more important than today. And that is precisely what we are there for,” says Heinz-Dieter Quack, the director of the Centre of Excellence, who has developed Corona-Navigator.de together with his team and with network partners neustaGrafenstein and Rogl Consult.
The information service is being constantly updated and is to be expanded. The tourism associations and partners of the Centre of Excellence for Tourism are invited to assist the work. “One of the aims of this service is to promote the use of relevant media,” adds Quack.
Corona-Navigator.de is optimised for use on smartphones. Much of the content can be freely exported via RSS.
