, opened the “Securing Industrial Value Networks - synchronizing international approaches” conference, that took place on 14 and 15 May 2018 at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in Berlin. With “”, data exchange between companies and countries will increase sharply. Global solutions for IT security are therefore an important prerequisite for new data-driven business models.
State Secretary Nussbaum said: “In the future, the success of a company will depend even more on its ability to present the right IT security concepts. It is also crucial that we succeed in standardising security requirements and concepts in global Industrie 4.0 value-added chains and in synchronising government regulations. This conference is to initiate the necessary international process.”
Together with “”, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy invited international experts from industry, ministries and regulatory authorities, e.g. from China, Japan, the US, the EU, Italy and France. Germany entertains intensive bilateral cooperation relations on “Industrie 4.0” with these countries. The conference aims to create transparency on the existing requirements and regulatory approaches to IT security. It also presents the opportunity to discuss such topics as standardising security requirements and synchronising government regulations in the areas of infrastructure, secure communication or when it comes to maintaining secure identities. The “Plattform Industrie 4.0” will contribute the results of its work so far to the conference.
