In his capacity as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Thomas Bareiß is acting as a political representative of the Federal Minister, in particular vis-à-vis the Bundestag and the parliamentary groups.
As the Federal Government Commissioner for Tourism, Thomas Bareiß coordinates and directs tourism-related initiatives and programmes designed to provide the right environment for the German tourism industry and strengthen the attractiveness of destination Germany.
