Advisory Boards
The advisory boards at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology are composed of panels of experts who advise the Federal Minister on special issues of economic policy. Memberships on these boards are honorary positions.
Academic advisory board
Task
The academic advisory board is an independent body that advises the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology on all issues relating to economic policy. The board independently selects its topics of deliberation. and meets approximately six times a year.
The board submits the results of its work to the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology in the form of expert opinions, which are published regularly.
Members of the academic advisory board
The board currently consists of 36 scholars who are university instructors in the fields of economics and jurisprudence. They are appointed and removed by the Federal Minister of Economics and Technology upon recommendation by the board.
