The EU Services Directive
Economic integration has made the European Union one of the leading economic regions in the world. However, Europe has yet to fully tap the service sector's considerable potential for growth and employment. The EU directive on services is designed to help achieve this objective (PDF-Download, 212 KB). The directive aims to reduce bureaucratic barriers and to promote the cross-border trade in services, and thereby to take crucial strides toward the realisation of the European single market. It also represents a key component in the implementation of the EU's Lisbon Strategy.
Our German-language website www.dienstleisten-leicht-gemacht.de provides further information on the directive and its implementation.
