The Chinese Vice-Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Mr. Liu Lihua, and the Director-General for External Economic Policy of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Dr. Karl-Ernst Brauner, today at the Hanover Fair signed an agreement on sending German managers to China to spend some time in Chinese companies. The agreement was concluded within the framework of the existing Manager Training Programme with China.

Now German managers, too, can for the first time gain an insight into the work of Chinese firms and get familiar with the business culture of the respective companies. Numerous German managers have already indicated their interest in participating.

The Manager Training Programme with China was concluded in 2007. The Chinese side has shown great interest in the programme. So far, however, only Chinese managers have had the opportunity to get an insight into the work of German firms.

The expansion of the Manager Training Programme helps to bring German and Chinese companies closer together and to further strengthen trusting and fair cooperation between enterprises of the two countries.
